Water damage

Water damage.

Always be careful, because an iPhone is very sensitive for water. When water gets in contact with the iPhone or iPod, it's possible that he won't work anymore. The image beneath shows a very sensitive spot. When water enters this spot, you'll probably have problems with your home button.

If you have this problem, just make sure that you'll try to dry this spot and if he doesn't work after a couple of days, then he is probably broken. So be careful and watch out.

Toothbrush on home button

1.Toothbrush

2. Some people fixed the problem by brushing their home button and ofcourse you are not allowed to use toothpaste.

Rubbing home button with 70% or 90% alcohol

1.Take rubbing alcohol

2. Clean your home button with this product.
By the way don't use just a cleaning product, because otherwise your home button will be totally ruined. Just try to get this one.

3. If you are not sure what to do check this video.

Assisitive touch Method

Assistive touch is a temporary home button and it works as good as the normal one.

Try it, it definitely works.

1. Go to Settings

2. Choose general.

3. Choose accessibility

4. Scroll down this page till you see assistive touch and put it ON.

5. Now you can tap the little square and then you get this.

Replace your home button yourself

Replace your home button yourself

But when you didn't succeed to fix your home button, you can try to replace the button yourself. But it isn't that easy. So that's why i have searched for a video on youtube. But first of all you have to buy a new home button and ofcourse the Apple repair kit. If you don't know where i'm talking about, don't worry, because it's all showed clearly in the video. Just follow these steps.

Fourth Method

1. Connect your iPhone/iPod to PC.
You can also do it without the computer you don't need to connect to the computer. You just have to connect your connector in your iPhone or iPod. You can try both ways.

2. iTunes will appear.

3. When iTunes appeared, press your home button until you see " Voice control"

4. Press cancel.

5. It's possible now that the problem is solved

second method (Recalibrate)

1.Just open an App.

Press the powerbutton until this appears.

3.Stop pressing the power button, because otherwise your phone will turn off and then it won't work.

4. Push the Home button a few times untill you return to your Springboard ( the page with all your apps.) It's possible that you have to do it more than once.

First Method ( effective one)

Assistive touch

If you activate this , you don't need your home button anymore, because assistive touch is a home button on your screen.

1. Go to your springboard.

2. Go to settings and tap "General".

3.Tap accessibility.

4. Scroll untill you see "assistive touch".

5. Now you have a flying home button.

6.Video if you don't succeed to do it with the images.
